Return to Work – Uniformed Personnel & First Responders

Returning to work can be daunting, especially if you’ve been gone for an extended period of time. Uniformed personnel, first responders, and front-line workers are vulnerable to workplace psychological injuries that often result in a leave of absence. If you’ve experienced such an interruption in your work, you may be feeling anxious, depressed, or even concerned that you’ll not be wanted or welcomed back at your workplace. These feelings are common and completely normal. It’s important to make sure you feel comfortable and ready to go back to work.

How can Insight help?

An employee who is on an extended leave due to illness, accident, trauma, or other incidents may experience both physical and psychological challenges while recovering. Our therapists can support you in the following manner:

  • Assess the types and extent of psychological injuries/effects you’ve experienced and how they might impact your readiness to return to work.
  • Determine the type of work accommodation that you may need.
  • Provide one-on-one therapeutic intervention to deal with the psychological injuries/effects to aid in your recovery so that you can be more ready and able to return to work.

Insight partners with physicians and respected disability management service providers that can assess your physical injuries/effects and your readiness to return to work as well as prepare you for work accommodation and eventual return to work.
