Senior Therapist, M.Ed., R.Psych. (She/her)

Areas of Specialty: Adults, Adolescents (13-17)

Are you ready to make meaningful and lasting changes in your life? I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live with greater happiness, purpose, and balance. Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to share your story, explore what feels heavy, and begin moving toward the life you want. Healing and growth are always possible—even when they feel out of reach. I am passionate about helping people navigate the challenges that hold them back and empowering them to reconnect with their strengths. Every individual has an inherent capacity to evolve, and while facing difficult emotions or experiences can be uncomfortable, those moments often become powerful catalysts for personal transformation.

If you’re ready to move from simply surviving to truly thriving, I’m here to walk alongside you and begin that journey with you. Sessions will take place at Insight Psychological and The Grief and Trauma Healing Centre’s joint Royal Oak Calgary location.

More About Jas Badesha

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2002 and have been a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists since 2003. I am a highly experienced  psychologist and throughout my career, I have worked in many diverse settings providing psychological services in Hospitals, Schools, Child and Family Services, Employee and Family Assistance Programs, Adult and Children’s Addiction and Mental Health services, the Legal System,  Private Practice and Alberta Health Services. Over the course of my career, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the diverse challenges individuals face, which allows me to provide nuanced and effective psychological services to clients from all walks of life.

My commitment is to provide effective, compassionate psychological care that fosters insight, resilience, and lasting change. By working together, we can break through old patterns, reduce self-imposed limitations, and open the door to a richer, more fulfilling life.

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS:

What quick advice do you have for people who are really struggling?

When people are really struggling, my advice is to start small and reach out. You don’t have to face everything alone—connecting with someone you trust can ease the weight. Focus on one manageable step at a time, even if it’s as simple as breathing deeply, getting outside for a moment, or grounding yourself in the present. And remember: struggling doesn’t mean failing; it means you’re human, and support is always worth seeking.

What are you most passionate about?

As a psychologist, I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I value the opportunity to walk alongside people as they navigate the challenges impacting their lives, and I’m committed to helping them build insight, resilience, and meaningful change. My work is driven by a deep belief in each person’s capacity to grow when they are met with empathy, respect, and effective support.
