Conversion Disorder
Conversion disorder – formerly known as Hysteria – is a mental disorder in which the suffered experiences physical symptoms, such as numbness, fits, or blindness, seemingly without any specific bodily cause. These physical symptoms are often in response to stressors affecting the sufferer’s mental health.
Some of the many symptoms of Conversion disorder are:
- Loss of speech
- Uncontrolled hysterical screaming
- Deafness
- Double vision
- Feelings of physical pain
- Trouble walking
