More About Julie Wiggins
Hi, I’m Julie, and I’m passionate about helping people uncover their strength and resilience to navigate life’s challenges. Guided by a client-centered, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based approach, I provide compassionate support for issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and stress management.
With over 10 years of nursing experience, including a focus on psychiatric care, my work has deeply shaped my empathy and understanding of the human experience. This foundation allows me to connect with clients on a meaningful level, creating a safe and supportive space for healing and growth. Informed by Hakomi principles, I integrate mindfulness and self-discovery into our work together.
Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build resilience, and work toward the life you envision.
A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS:
Have you, or anyone close to you, had to overcome any trauma, or mental health challenge?
I understand the unique challenges faced by first responders, including the emotional toll and stress that can accompany caregiving roles. My experiences in these high-pressure environments have shaped my empathy and commitment to supporting clients in finding balance, resilience, and healing.
What is your favourite quote?
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate,” by Carl Jung.
I resonate with this because it highlights the power of mindfulness and self-awareness in breaking free from patterns that no longer serve us. Understanding ourselves at a deeper level is key to creating meaningful and lasting change, a principle I bring into my therapeutic practice.
What quick advice do you have for people who are really struggling?
When you’re really struggling, remember that you don’t have to face it alone—reaching out for support can be a powerful first step. I believe in the resilience within each person, and even small steps can create space for healing. With compassion and support, meaningful change is always possible.
