Custody Access Issues
Divorce is complex and involved more than dissolution of a partnership between spouses. Coming up with an appropriate and balanced custody agreement that benefits the children is a process complicated by many issues and emotions.
These can include communication problems and any residual anger or frustration being taken out through this process. Additionally, this process can be hard on children in this situation.
Some of the issues surrounding problems with custodial access are:
- Lack of trust
- Breakdown in communication
- Arguing in front of the children
- Using the children as pawns
- Not know how to deal with residual anger
- Unusual behavior on the part of the children: becoming withdrawn or acting out, slipping grades, etc.
