Insight started as a two-person psychological practice twenty years ago, and today, it is one of the largest privately held psychological service providers in Alberta with over 35 therapists and specialists across 5 service centres in Edmonton, Spruce Grove, and Calgary.
Insight has built its reputation over the years as a provider of high-quality specialized counselling and assessment services. It has grown year after year and with its continual innovation and enhancement of services and client care, it is projected to grow even more exponentially in the coming years.
We attribute Insight’s success to several factors including:
Continual development of clinical expertise. Our strong and diverse team of clinicians continually advance their respective areas of specialties so that our clients can access some of the best and most knowledgeable experts in the different areas of psychological care.
Continual enhancement of client care. We continually explore how we can serve our clients better. Insight’s recent initiatives include client access to online bookings and self-management of one’s service account as well as secured online video counselling service to support clients in rural communities across Alberta and those with challenges accessing services in person.
Continual innovation in service offerings. We actively research and seek feedback on additional, different, and innovative services that can improve client experience, enhance therapy outcomes, fulfill unmet needs, and/or add to clients’ knowledge and resources for self-care. The establishment of Insight’s multi-disciplinary service partners network as well as the Fall 2018 launch of its Corporate Care Services and Group and Learning Services has allowed Insight to provide much needed new services and to extend it excellent client care to employee groups, small business owners, not-for-profit leaders, and the broader community.
Continual engagement of our communities. We consider Insight to be an active member of the communities it serves. We feel extremely privileged to be entrusted with the care of children, adults, couples, and families in these communities and are very grateful for the vote of confidence and support that members of the communities have extended to Insight. As such, Insight strives to give back the communities in various ways such as:
- continuing to offer sliding fee scale services (when most private service providers have stopped doing so) in designated service centres to low-income individuals and families that would otherwise not be able to afford psychological care;
- providing financial, material, and other support to a multitude of community programs and causes that focus on improving health and wellness;
- working with various community agencies to promote mental health, sexual health, and gender diversity; as well as
- contributing to the development of future clinicians by providing comprehensive, quality learning and development opportunities for graduate students and therapists-in-training.
The Growth 500 Award is a wonderful and deeply valued affirmation of the work that our team does at Insight. It is also a strong motivator for us to continue to do great things in our communities and for our communities.
