Insight Psychological Therapists - Robyn Campbell

Robyn Campbell, Registered Provisional Psychologist, MC, (She/Her)

I strongly believe that connection heals us. Being open and honest and sharing who you are with others is a beautiful yet challenging part of life. I am here to help you find hope, build resilience, and learn more about yourself and the strengths you already possess. I will also help you see how self-compassion can make any difficult situation in life a little less challenging.

More About Robyn Campbell

I understand that most people who are seeking support for the first time are unsure of what to expect, and may be feeling scared, hesitant, or resistant to starting their therapeutic journey. My goal as your therapist is to make sure that I provide a space where you feel comfortable and willing to open up and share your inner self. I approach each new relationship from a nonjudgmental place and with curiosity, care, and respect. I appreciate the fact that every person is unique and has their own experiences that have shaped their identity, beliefs, and perspectives of the world. In my eyes, it is a privilege when people feel safe enough to share themselves with me. I am open to supporting people of all ages, genders, and ethnicities. I have many years of experience working with children, and have also spent time working in addiction treatment.

The approach I feel most compelled to use with clients is cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). It is my belief that having the awareness of how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are all connected is a strong foundation for all therapeutic work. I also like to incorporate solution-focused techniques, mindfulness techniques, and components of dialectical behaviour therapy into my work with clients.

A QUESTION FOR YOU:

What is your favourite quote?

Empathy has no script. There is no right or wrong way to do it. It’s simply listening, holding space, withholding judgment, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of “You’re not alone.” – Brene Brown
