Spring Perinatal & Children Wellness will be offering two new perinatal workshops starting in the Fall of 2024. Each group will provide a safe and supportive environment where participants will be able to receive support, share experiences and insights, and gain strategies on how they can begin navigating the new chapter of their lives.
The sessions will take place in person at our brand-new wellness centre, located at 2508 Ellwood Drive, Edmonton, AB T6X 0A9.
The two perinatal workshops include:
1) Nurturing New Beginnings: New Mothers Group
The “Nurturing New Beginnings: New Mothers Group” is designed to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where new moms can share their experiences, learn from each other, and build connections with fellow mothers facing similar challenges.
Price: $360 for 4 sessions
Date: Biweekly sessions on Monday evenings starting October 7th for 4 weeks
Time: 5:30 – 7 PM
*Facilitated by Izabela Bienko, a registered provisional psychologist and the clinical coordinator of Spring Reproductive and Perinatal Wellness.
2) Fatherhood Foundations: New Fathers Group
The “Fatherhood Foundations: New Fathers Group” provides fathers with a safe and supportive environment within which to have open discussions, share experiences and insights, and gain support around their mental health. This group aims to provide psycho-education, skill-building activities, and opportunities to share evidence-based mental health information, and reputable resources to participants.
Price: $360 for 4 sessions
Date: Biweekly sessions on Wednesday evenings starting October 9th for 4 weeks
Time: 5:30 – 7 PM
*Participants include those in the role of paternal support to the birthing parent (i.e. same-sex partner, divorced, separated, widowed or single fathers, common-law partner and/or spouse).
*Facilitated by Izabela Bienko, a registered provisional psychologist and the clinical coordinator of Spring Reproductive and Perinatal Wellness.
