Insight Psychological Director Cory Hrushka was featured on CBC Radio's 'Edmonton AM' on March 14th, 2012 to discuss the rate of STI's in Alberta. The piece was a 5 min exploration into the rate of sexually transmitted infections in Alberta. In particular, discussion was focused on the higher number of infections in those individuals over the age of 50. Hrushka attributed this stat partially due of lack of education, and the view that 'since they can't get pregnant', unprotected sex is ok. Cory discussed the topic of understanding how sex drive may be impacted by the trials and tribulations of everyday life, including being tired, having kids, work, conflicting schedules, as well as other causes leading to these types of sexual issues.
