Marcello Troncoso, Practicum Intern Therapist, MACP (He/Him)

I am a therapist-in-training who blends emotional depth with practical insight. I bring a grounded, compassionate, and values-based approach to therapy, focusing on helping individuals live more congruently with their goals, virtues, and inner truth — through self-awareness, accountability, and meaningful connection.

More About Marcello Troncoso

I understand therapy is a vulnerable endeavour, nevertheless, my aim is to co-create a space with you that is non-judgmental, compassionate, and real. A space where you can examine your life honestly, develop greater self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change aligned with your values, goals, and deepest sense of who you are.

Before entering the field of psychology, I worked in investment banking and private wealth management. That chapter of my life taught me the cost of misalignment — and the importance of pursuing work and relationships grounded in integrity, meaning, and emotional authenticity. It was through that realization that I found my passion for helping others.

My therapeutic style is relational, reflective, and active. I believe therapy should be both a sanctuary and a mirror — a place to feel safe and a place to be challenged. Together, we work not only to understand your challenges, but to develop the insight, tools, and internal alignment needed to live your most congruent, fulfilling life. My approach integrates evidence-based modalities with an understanding that many of our patterns stem from early relational experiences and unprocessed emotional pain. I am especially interested in attachment wounds, trauma recovery, relationship dynamics, and the quiet grief that often hides beneath anxiety, depression, or perfectionism.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will hold your story with care, challenge you when needed, and walk with you through the hard questions — I’d be honored to meet you.

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS

What is your favourite quote?

The person you must speak to in every moment of everyday is yourself. Try not to lose their respect.

What quick advice do you have for people who are really struggling?

All advice is nuanced but I would hold fast with the following mantra: Be a light to the world in times of personal darkness, for if you’re a light then it proves light exists in this world.
