Insight Psychological Therapists - Brianna Hominiuk

Brianna Hominiuk, Registered Provisional Psychologist, BA, BCom, MACP (She/Her)

As a therapist, I strive to support clients in attaining personal growth goals and maneuvering the challenges they may be facing. Through an integrated, holistic, and client-centered approach, I will work with you to explore and recognize how past experiences may shape our present and future selves. I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you navigate to reach your desired goals.

More About Brianna Hominiuk

My journey to become a Registered Provisional Psychologist is unique, which is similar to how I view the lived experiences of my clients. Most of my employment has been working within the court system, which is one of many reasons that has made me passionate about providing care to those who have experienced trauma and grief. When working with clients, providing a safe and non-judgmental space, where we can build and foster trust and openness, is important for the development of our therapeutic relationship. Growing up on a family farming operation in a small rural area, I understand the importance of community, particularly the roles and cooperation between individuals. Therefore, I will work collaboratively with you to tailor our sessions to your specific needs.

My approach to therapy is warm and empathetic, but also direct coming from a place of curiosity. I work with individuals (adults and teens), as well as couples and families, drawing on therapeutic approaches, such as Client-Centered Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, among others.

It would be a privilege to have the opportunity to join you on your therapeutic journey.

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS

When did you know you wanted to become a psychologist?

I have always had a keen interest in psychology and law and hoped to combine both to support others. I was further motivated to pursue my aspirations in psychology, following the tragic and sudden passing of my father from a farming accident. This has made me appreciate the complexities associated with grief and trauma.
