Bringing empathy and compassion into my work, I view counselling as a collaborative process between myself and you (the client). It takes strength and courage to attend therapy, and my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your experiences, gain understanding, and make desired changes. Using a client-centred and integrative approach, I draw on multiple theoretical orientations, tailoring our approach to best fit your needs.
Please note: Sabrina is currently accepting new clients on a limited basis, focusing on sexual health, forensic cases and referrals only at this time.
With over 20 years of experience supporting individuals of all ages with diverse mental health and wellness needs, I am committed to helping others by meeting them wherever they are in their journey. I believe counselling offers a powerful opportunity to explore our experiences, emotions, beliefs, and behaviours in a safe, constructive, and compassionate environment.
I emphasize a holistic and integrative approach, drawing from various modalities including Client-Centred Therapy, third-wave cognitive behavioural therapies, body-centred/somatic practices, emotionally focused therapies, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I strive to create a therapeutic space that fosters growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
My clinical experience spans community, forensic, post-secondary, and private practice settings. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns, and my practice is further informed by advanced training in sexual health, forensics, trauma, personality, and neurodiversity.
I hold professional memberships with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).
I look forward to working with you and hearing your story.
