More about Teagan Mitchell

I am an internship student in the last year of completing my Masters of Counselling Psychology degree through City University of Seattle’s Edmonton Campus. In my undergraduate studies, I completed a Bachelors of Child and Youth Care with MacEwan University. I have been working with children/youth/families for the last 6 years, specifically regarding childhood trauma, mental health, family relationships, and poverty.

I am currently shifting my practice and have started working with adults more, with my interests focusing on mental health, addictions, trauma, grief and loss, couples work, and sexuality. Theoretically, I identify with Rogerian/Person Centered/Attachment/Emotion Focused (EFT)/Existential/Psychodynamic approaches. I am also familiar with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. I believe that therapy is a healing journey, and I will walk with you through this journey coming from a place of empathy and compassion. I am committed to being fully present and attuned to you as we explore what this may look like for you.
