More about Dotun Adigun

I support individuals using diverse approaches that draw on ideas such as self–efficacy, mindfulness, unconditional respect and dignity. I tailor each support using practical tools such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and concepts of Mindfulness.

I have experience supporting individuals in the areas such as stress, professional burnout, phobias, self-harm, self-esteem, anxiety, loss and grief, emotional regulation, attention and focus(ADHD), body image challenges, depression, parenting, marriage, body-focused repetitive behaviours, communication skills, boundaries, assertiveness, and life stage transitions. I am comfortable with the “censored” areas of life experiences including sexual health and financial health. I completed my practicum at Third Academy; a special needs education school where I worked with diverse children and their families to identify pressing needs and tailor the support accordingly. I co-facilitated psycho-educational groups for junior high school students at the school and collaborated with teachers to customize each student’s learning abilities and experiences.

I also specialize in assessments (Parenting Capacity, Psycho-educational including Intelligent Quotient(IQ), giftedness, Learning Challenges including ADD, ADHD, as well as other socio-emotional and behavioural needs). I provide professional and comprehensive psychological assessments to children, adolescents and adults, and provide the families and school professionals with practical information that can further support the individual’s overall day to day life including learning, personal development, and general well-being. The outcomes from these assessments also provide the opportunity to identify areas of strength and growth.
