More about Natalya Vann

I have worked in the human services field for the past eight years in various capacities which has helped prepare me to work with a diverse population. I have experience in working with women, children, adolescents and families, with varying mental health diagnosis including autism, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), addictions, and trauma.

My approach to counselling is strength-based and client-centered. I like to gain perspective and insight on the client’s lived experiences by hearing their stories. I also believe in a holistic approach to counselling that could be achieved through collaboration and relationship-building. I believe an effective and competent counsellor is one who is accepting and confident in dealing with complex issues encompassing a wide range of concerns. My practice is guided by the belief that I can make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Including English, I also speak and write Tagalog (Filipino)
