Insight Psychological Therapists - Melanie Bradley

Melanie Bradley, Registered Provisional Psychologist, (She/Her)

Everyone’s journey is unique, and we all get lost sometimes.  I would be honored to be a part of the solution, helping you find the strength I know you have within to find your way back to the path you are meant to be on.

Seeing people be able to thrive after dealing with their trauma’s, anxieties, and losses is what makes the therapeutic relationship such a rewarding experience.  This connection allows for both the client and the therapist to access their own resiliencies more easily by learning how to be compassionate to oneself, which allows healing to take place and growth to begin.

More About Melanie Bradley

I believe in a client-centered, compassionate approach, believing my clients are the experts in their own lives and that I am only there to help guide them in the solutions that best fit their lives and families; helping them gain the insights that are hiding just below the surface.

Depending on what my clients’ needs are, I incorporate techniques from various therapeutic approaches such as: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused and Structural Therapy.  My passion lies in working with children, individuals, families, and couples who are dealing with Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Depression, relationship problems, family discord, ADHD, and other behavioral issues.

My experience is very diverse, like my therapy approach.  I have worked with children in various capacities (including raising my own) such as in day homes, day care facilities, volunteer organizations, and within the school system.  Working with children who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other behavioral issues.   I have worked in the Correctional Services System as a living unit officer, where I was able to work on de-escalation and safety skills, while helping residents process their stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.  I currently work with SAFE (Structured Analysis Family Evaluation) clients, which is a very rewarding experience.  Helping clients to gain the status that enables them to help their own families through kinship or in helping children through fostering.  More recently I have begun volunteering with the Chrysalis Network, working as a counselor on their national human trafficking hotline.  We provide support, safety planning, and trauma counseling to individuals who are currently working in the sex industry.
