Lesley Xu, Registered Provisional Psychologist, MC, (She/Her)
I believe that all people experience pain in some way in their lives, but everyone has the capacity to work through that pain with their inner resources, resilience, and strength. My role is to work with you to unravel those resources to live a meaningful life guided by what is important to you.
Unfortunately, Lesley Xu is not seeing any new clients at Insight Psychological. Please select another therapist from our team.
More About Lesley Xu
I believe we are all influenced by interactions, thoughts, and feelings that occur in our day-to-day life. Particularly, the relationships that we build with other individuals that shape us from the moment we are born. No matter what your challenges are, I am here to meet you where you are at to focus on what really matters.
I have over 7 years of professional experience supporting people of all ages with a variety of mental health needs. My experience includes working with high-risk youth, survivors of sexual assault, marginalized populations, individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, university students, and as an advocate for children and families navigating the criminal justice system.
The theoretical approaches that I draw on are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused approaches, Attachment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Client-Centered, and Mindfulness Techniques. Every single person differs in what they need, and I utilize a variety of techniques so I can walk with you to understand your story.
