Insight Psychological Therapists - Erin Wilkinson

Erin Wilkinson, Registered Psychologist, MA, (she/her)

I view therapy as a collaborative process with you, the client, as the expert on your life. Using an integrative approach, I draw from different theoretical perspectives to tailor therapy for each unique individual or couple. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive, and trusting environment for you to explore your experiences and make desired changes.

Unfortunately, Erin Wilkinson is not seeing any new clients at Insight Psychological. Please select another therapist from our team.

More About Erin Wilkinson

My passion is to help others at whatever stage they are in life. I have spent the past 12 years in professional and volunteer roles focused on supporting individual psychosocial and mental health needs.

I believe counselling provides the ability for clients to engage in meaningful exploration of their feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, to assist individuals in their growth process, which in turn, enables them to make constructive change. I conduct individual, couples and group therapy.  The theoretical approaches I draw from are: Client Centered, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Gottman’s Approach (couples), and Adlerian (attachment theory) to inform my practice. I look forward to working with you.

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS

What is your favourite quote?

“You are enough, you have enough, you do enough.” – Brene Brown

When did you know you wanted to become a psychologist?

I knew I wanted to be a psychologist when I was an adolescent. I observed family and friends struggle with mental health issues that did not have access to counselling to which, I decided I wanted to be the person to support other peoples loved ones. My goal was directed to walk beside those experiencing challenges, equip individuals with skills to overcome adversity and remind them of the strengths they already posses.
