More About Emily Kearns

Thank you so much for taking the time to view my profile.

I believe everyone has unique qualities, strengths, and experiences and I utilize these factors to facilitate transformation in my clients. I understand the stigma, difficulty, and vulnerability that can accompany sharing your inner world with someone else. My goal is to promote a strong connection with my clients in order to create a safe environment for vulnerabilities to be explored. I consider it a privilege when a client shares a piece of themselves with me. I am consistently amazed at the resiliency and strength I see in the individuals I have had the pleasure of working with.

My therapeutic orientation has its foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) where thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are challenged with the purpose of examining how they are contributing to mental health challenges in our lives. I believe that by learning the strategies rooted in this therapeutic technique, you will have the skills and mindset to make meaningful changes in your life. I also apply and integrate many other therapeutic techniques depending on the needs of my clients.

I am looking forward to working with you!
