More About Dr. Scott Anderson
Navigating mental health challenges or striving for peak performance doesn’t have to be something you face alone. I’m Dr. Scott Anderson, a licensed psychologist passionate about helping individuals in high-stress professions, athletes, and adults unlock their resilience and achieve their treatment goals.
My journey as a psychologist started in high school after a career-ending knee injury. Through the recovery process, I developed an understanding of how my mindset influenced my physical recovery. This led to a deep passion for sport psychology and advanced training in counselling psychology. With extensive experience working with professionals such as police officers, firefighters, military personnel, and athletes from various sports, I am dedicated to guiding clients through the mental demands of their careers and personal lives.
Specifically, I specialize in trauma treatment, drawing on cutting-edge research and a holistic approach that integrates mind and body. Whether you’re managing the stress of your profession or overcoming the lingering effects of trauma, my approach is tailored to meet your unique needs and help you find long-lasting change. I use a combination of cognitive and body-based techniques, informed by seminal works like “The Body Keeps the Score,” to foster healing and resilience.
In our sessions, you’ll find more than just support—I’m here to offer transparent, compassionate guidance and practical strategies that lead to real progress. Whether you want to improve your mental health or optimize your performance, we will work together to build the strength and clarity needed to succeed.
I encourage you to reach out if you are ready to get started. Together, we’ll tap into your potential and pave the way for a future built upon resilience and success.

What has been the most satisfying part of being a psychologist?
The most satisfying part of being a psychologist is witnessing the transformative journey of clients as they confront their challenges and unlock their potential. There’s immense fulfillment in helping individuals gain insight, develop resilience, and achieve personal growth. My ultimate goal is to work myself out of a job—empowering clients with the tools they need to thrive independently. Being a part of their healing process and seeing them flourish is not only rewarding but reinforces my passion for this vital work. Each success story reminds me of the profound impact that understanding, support, and effective strategies can have on someone’s life.
