My bf and I have a long distance relationship. I’ve known him for 7 yrs dating for 1. I love him dearly. He asked me to move in with him. I really want to however I am scared to approach my parents. They are super traditional and religious. I am confused what should I do. I’m 22

It sounds like a difficult subject to approach your parents. I would recommend approaching them in an open and honest manner. This may involve simply stating the difficulty of the situation. It will help your parents empathize with you if you first express to your parents that “this is difficult for me to talk to you about.” This may also provide your parents with some insight about how you acknowledge their values and do not intend to hurt them by expressing your concerns. Educate them about your reasons for bringing up this issue to them- are you looking for their support, advice, or simply to inform? Good luck.
