Teena received her Master of Science degree in Marital and Family Therapy through Loma Linda, California in 2001. She works with individuals, couples and families and has had many years of experience working with interrelational dynamics including, but not limited to: Domestic Violence, Substance Abuse and Trauma. Her experience with couples includes working on intimacy, communication and problem-solving. With individuals, Teena works with a vast range of presenting issues including: general stress, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger management and relational issues.

Teena has also worked for many years with children's (ages 4-17) with mental health issues including: Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Trauma and Attachment, Oppositonal Defiance Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder, Asperger’s Disorder, Tourette's Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Sensory Processing Issues, loss and grieving. She has done numerous children's groups that focus on social skills such as identification of feelings, problem solving, conflict resolution and anger management.

She uses a cognitive-behavioural approach, systems theory including family of origin issues, solution focused therapy and includes play therapy with children.
