I’ve been trying to get over a relationship that was for the most part – long distance. It’s been on and off for the past year an it’s extremely hard for me to let go of him, but it is causing a lot of stress in my life on top of exams and family. I am not sure what to do. What is your advice?

The ending of a relationship is a significant change in anyone’s life. Without appropriate processing, residual feelings can still be present which can influence decision making and general healthy functioning. By being able to self-soothe through stress and anxiety management, personal growth can occur. I would suggest meeting with one of our counselors to help support you as an individual during this process.
