Maggie Brennan - M.Ed., Registered Psychologist

Maggie Brennan

Maggie is a Masters level clinician, trained at the University of Alberta. She has experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups. Maggie’s approach is grounded in humanistic principles and she draws techniques from a variety of theoretical orientations, including: emotion-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness and narrative therapy. Maggie has a flexible approach and believes it is important to work collaboratively with clients and tailor sessions to their needs. She believes every client has the potential for growth and healing and helps clients tap into their inner strength and wisdom.

Maggie has a special interest in eating disorders. She has completed training in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders and has experience working with this population (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and eating disorder not otherwise specified) in both one-on-one and group formats.

In addition to her formal training and extensive counselling experience, Maggie is a registered yoga teacher and has an interest in the body/mind connection and eastern principles.
