Asha is currently working on obtaining a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy at Loma Linda University. She has developed a strong framework of knowledge from her Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as graduate work involving family systems theory and treatment. Her background includes working in a correctional facility that has provided her with opportunities to support different client experiences and issues such as depression, sexual and physical abuse, stress and anxiety management, grief and loss, and substance abuse. She has also had the opportunity to co-facilitate group therapy sessions that placed emphasis on healing victims of abuse.

Asha applies a solution-focused approach to therapy. Through this model, she encourages clients to uncover hidden strengths and capabilities that can be applied towards present and future goals. She looks forward to her internship experience and the opportunity to support individuals in achieving their goals while providing a hopeful and positive therapeutic environment.
